Digitization

The Danish Windmill is sitting on a treasure trove of old photographs, newspaper clippings, letters, promotional materials and more stretching back all the way to the beginnings of our organization. Some of these files have been digitized over the years in various formats from VHS tapes to CDs to USB drives. Others haven't been recaptured at all.

We're seeking volunteers to help us preserve this timeless collection. This process includes organizing and scanning individual documents into our standardized digital filing system. All documents are organized by medium and will be stored in appropriate cartons to ensure preservation and security. The Danish Windmill has the necessary scanners and computers to make this process fast, easy, and fun.

We're always digging back in time for "new" promotional materials and the like, but we also desire to improve our space as a museum by organizing and expanding our archival collections.
